please i need more formation about bitwise for controlling lpt
now i finiched from my program to control 8 relays using vb6 but i had some problem when i wanted to switch off single out
this my overview for my code
for switch on single out
out &h378 1
out &h378 2 or 1
out &h378 4 or 2 or 1
out &h378 8 or 4 or 2 or 1

now for switch off single out i diidt that
out &h378 not 1 and 254
out &h378 not 2 and 252
out &h378 not4 and 248
out &h378 not 8 and 240

so please where is problem

i want switch on or off single out
even switch 2on 2 out or switch off 4out
please help me
