A common problem with laptops is memory slot problems. Memory slots have 200 pins sometimes 1 or 2 of these pins can short and cause blue screens. It often happens on Sony laptops. Usually on the large purple Sony laptops. We can get around this problem by removing the old memory slots and soldering new slots to the motherboard.
This is a very easy procedure for our engineers. In the image above we are removing the old slots.
The slots are removed but the motherboard needs a good clean to ensure there are good connections.
Below are the new memory slots ready to be fitted to the motherboard
On close inspection you can see that compared to image 2 above the memory slots now are very clean so connection pins wont short
Lets get in real close... one new slot is soldered to the motherboard. Consistency is checked on the 200 pins.
The image below shows both slots are now soldered to the motherboard. No more blue screens !!
